Making Iced Coffee at Home: A Refreshing Summer Classic
Iced coffee, a refreshing drink that rejuvenates the best moments of summer, can be easily prepared at home. Here at Imesta Coffee, we're sharing a recipe that's both practical and appealing to your palate. Moreover, with the right coffee, you can transform your iced coffee into not only a refreshing but also a truly unique experience.
Our recommendation: Lighter roasts, aromatic beans. Kenyan or Ethiopian coffees, in particular, add a subtle acidity to iced coffee with their fruity and floral notes.

-
Start with the filter: Place the V60 filter in the teapot and rinse it with hot water. (We used a Hario V60, but any filtering equipment will do.)
-
Measurement and grinding: Weigh 30g of coffee on a precision scale and grind it to the appropriate coarseness for filter coffee. Then add the coffee to the filter.
-
Blooming: Add 60g of hot water to the coffee and gently stir with a spoon to wet all the grains.
-
Brewing: After a short wait, increase the amount of water to 200 g. Continue stirring gently to ensure a homogeneous mixture.

Finish: Gradually add 500g of water in total. This will take about 3 minutes.
-
Sweeten: Once brewing is complete, add 6g of sugar or honey to your coffee and stir well.
